Great Ideas takes readers on a culinary journey


On Monday, The Times-Picayune and premiered the first episode of the new series "Where NOLA Chefs Eat," hosted by Todd Price, the paper's award-winning dining reporter, and filmed and edited by video journalist and frequent Where NOLA Eats collaborator Frankie Prijatel.

The first episode stars James Beard award-winning chef Nina Compton. Future episodes will roll out every other Monday for the next two months.

The new series, "Where NOLA Chefs Eat," is designed to open readers' eyes to the best bites in New Orleans. Five award-winning New Orleans chefs and 15 restaurants will be featured. Chefs Nina Compton from Compère Lapin, Kelly Fields from Willa Jean, Mason Hereford with Turkey and the Wolf and Molly's Rise and Shine, Kristen Essig from Coquette and Jordan Ruiz from Munch Factory will share their favorite spots to eat in the Crescent City.
