Multimedia story tools and lessons from a journalism fellowship
In this week's Futures Lab update, the Reynolds Journalism Institute looks at five online tools for creating multimedia stories, and shares lessons in innovative thinking from two former journalism fellows.
PART 1: Multimedia story tools
New online tools are making it easier to create multimedia story presentations without having to write computer code. RJI walks you through five of the options.
PART 2: Innovation via fellowship
Several fellowship programs across the country foster innovative thinking and new ideas for the industry by giving journalists a chance to take a break from the newsroom. Beth Daley and Deepa Fernandes, alumni of the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships at Stanford, share some lessons they learned during their year away.
