Learn more about Facebook's shift toward high quality news next month at the Key Executives Mega-Conference.

Alex Hardiman, head of news products for Facebook, will be discussing how the company is collaboratively building news products with publishers through the Facebook Journalism Project.

Alex Hardiman leads the product and engineering teams for News at Facebook. In this role, she oversees news experiences for Facebook's two billion monthly users. She also works collaboratively with news organizations to strengthen the value exchange between Facebook and publishers as part of The Facebook Journalism Project.

"The Facebook Journalism Project was created to ensure that high quality journalism thrives on Facebook," Hardiman said. "I look forward to sharing more about the steps we're taking through products, partnerships and programs to support quality local news publishers."

Prior to Facebook, Hardiman spent 10 years at The New York Times in a variety of product management, product marketing and sales development roles.

She holds a B.A. in Francophone Literature and History from Columbia University and is a graduating fellow of the Punch Sulzberger program at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism.

The Mega-Conference will be held Feb. 26-28 in San Diego.
