Family-owned newspapers in Ohio sold to West Virginia firm 7/24/19

A newspaper that has operated under the same family for 150 years in Ohio has been sold to Wheeling, West Virginia-based Ogden Newspapers.

Ogden is buying the Sandusky Register along with the Norwalk Reflector from Sandusky Newspapers Inc.


Advertiser-Tribune names interim publisher 4/2/19

Bart Leath has been named interim publisher of The Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin, Ohio.

Leath had been publisher at two other newspapers owned by Ogden Newspapers: the Minot (N.D.) Daily News and the Sentinel in Lewistown, Penn.


Lawhorn named as publisher of Lawrence Journal-World 3/26/19

Chad Lawhorn has been named publisher of the Lawrence (Kan.) World-Journal. He will continue to serve as editor as well.

Lawhorn replaces Scott Stanford, who has accepted a promotion within the Ogden Newspapers organization.
