Bring your stories to life online with interactive charts and graphics using Infogr.am, Piktochart, Google Fusion, Plot.ly and Graphiq. Your readers will experience your stories in a richer way as they hover and click on these multimedia elements. Plus, you'll improve the coveted time-on-site metric. We'll show you how to use the tools and offer examples. 

Our Presenters:

Genette Brookshire, a graduate of California State University, Fresno, started working at The Record in Stockton, Calif., in 2004 as a copy editor. Now, as digital and print news editor, she works directly with the editor to set the direction of coverage and content for the print and digital editions. She is also responsible for Recordnet.com, including managing content and implementing digital initiatives.
 
Tim Schmitt has spent decades in various newsrooms – some print, and some broadcast. He was a sports reporter,  news reporter, and then managing editor of his hometown paper, the Tonawanda (N.Y.) News, where he led an award-winning editorial page. He's worked as an editor, staffer or longtime contributor with the Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff, the Mesa Tribune, the Arizona Republic, the alt-weekly Buffalo Current, and the Niagara Falls Gazette, where he was executive sports editor over four dailies.

The registration fee is $35 – if your registration is received by Monday, July 17.  Fees increase to $45 after July 17. Registrations will be accepted up until the day of the webinar.
