Meredith Corporation's Local Media Group has signed with TownNews.com for the content and video management of 17 television stations. Meredith's television group, based in Des Moines, Iowa, reaches more than 11 percent of U.S. households, with seven stations in the nation's Top 25 markets-including Atlanta, Phoenix, St. Louis and Portland – and 13 in the Top 50.

"We felt strongly that TownNews.com, which has been a leader in the CMS space for many years, offered us the best tools and the most customizable platform to achieve our goals, especially when it comes to our users' experience," said Matt Strait, vice president of digital media. "People tend to think of TownNews.com as a solution for print publishers only," said Brad Ward, president and CEO of TownNews.com. "But our technology, services and media expertise enable local media organizations of all types – TV, newspaper, radio, magazine – to transform their business models for the digital age. We've been successfully doing just that for our partners for nearly 30 years.
