Outlook editor Mitch Sneed dies at 57

Mitch Sneed, editor of The Outlook in Alexander City, Ala., died Sunday night after succumbing to injuries he faced following a car accident Saturday morning.

Sneed was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 280 and Cherokee Road in Alexander City Saturday morning. He was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he was treated for his injuries. He was not able to overcome the injuries and died at 8:33 p.m. Sunday night.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. (CDT) at Faith Temple Church in Alexander City. Read more

Sneed was a beloved part of The Outlook family. Members of the community, friends, former coworkers and loved ones from all over have expressed what Sneed meant to them.
