Roundtable discussions set for daily and weekly editors in S.C.
Daily executive, managing and other senior editors are invited to attend South Carolina Press Association's annual Daily Editors Roundtable on Friday, July 28, at SCPA Offices in Columbia. A Roundtable for Weekly Editors will be held Thursday, Aug. 3. These programs, co-sponsored by SNPA, are a great time to meet with your peers to discuss what is working and not working in your market.
Topics are up to the group, but will include: FOI issues, motivating and training staff, special projects and sections, multimedia reporting, social media opportunities and issues, stories that get traction and the ongoing saga of doing more with less.
Attendees are asked to bring ideas and samples to share. If you have ideas for discussion topics or specific questions you'd like addressed, please submit them on the registration page.
The cost to attend is $15, which includes a catered lunch.
These events are open only to SCPA and SNPA member editors.
