Publisher Rex Maynor leaves OA News to pursue opportunity in Missouri

Opelika-Auburn News Publisher Rex Maynor has left the Alabama community to accept a position in Branson, Mo., where he will oversee operations for a group of community newspapers. 

Steve Smith, regional publisher for the O-A News' parent company, BH Media Group, has assumed Maynor's publisher duties. 

Maynor, who says he loves newspapers, will be continuing to pursue his passion in Branson, where he will begin serving as a publisher for Tri-Lakes Newspapers Inc., a company owned by Gadsden-based Lancaster Management Inc.
