Brandon Hughes stepping down as publisher in Lubbock

Lubbock (Texas) Avalanche-Journal Publisher Brandon Hughes announced Tuesday he's stepping down from the position.

"I have been very fortunate to work with a very talented and committed team. Avalanche-Journal employees are dedicated to providing quality journalism and serving this community. It has been an honor to serve as publisher," Hughes said.

Hughes said he and his wife, Lela, sons Corbin and Sully, plan to remain in Lubbock.
