McClatchy names Peter Farr as controller and chief accounting officer

Peter Farr will join McClatchy Company as corporate controller and chief accounting officer on April 16.

Farr currently is the northwest accounting policy director for The Boeing Company in Seattle, Wash., where he has spent the past 10 years in increasingly senior leadership roles. He holds a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Montana State University and is a CPA, with prior experience in industry and at the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Farr served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps for six years.
