GateHouse Media, the owners of The Pine Bluff (Ark.) Commercial and The White Hall Journal, has named Ed Graves as the new senior group publisher.

Graves, who will be based in Pine Bluff, replaces Byron Tate of The Commercial and Shane Allen of The Journal. Tate and Allen are no longer with the company.

Graves also confirmed to SNPA that he has succeeded Allen at the Bastrop (La.) Daily Enterprise, Stuttgart (Ark.) Daily Leader, Hope (Ark.) Star and Arkadelphia (Ark.) Daily Siftings Herald.

"I'm excited about being here and having an opportunity to come to Arkansas," Graves said. "We want to continue to be the leader and take a community approach to providing news and information in all forms, print, digital and mobile to serve the readers and advertisers in this area."

A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Graves previously worked for USA WEEKEND Magazine, where he was senior vice-president for Affiliate Sales Relations.
