Paper e-editions go 2.0 on content, revenue

As many newspapers scale back home delivery to save on distribution costs, many e-edition players are bolstering their offerings, leveraging the pros of print and the Web to create what they hope will morph into a profitable, consumer-friendly product. Some digital platform providers and CMS vendors have bet heavily on "live" e-editions, where editors can continually adjust content after press time to accommodate developing stories or even late-arriving sports scores.
