AMG/PARADE names VP of Newspaper Relations Group

Scot Dalquist has been named vice president of the Newspaper Relations Group of AMG/Parade, focusing on the Western U.S. newspaper partners. The announcement was made by AMG/Parade Executive Vice President of Newspaper Relations Dave Barber.

Scot, who joins AMG/Parade with decades of experience in the newsprint industry, will manage relationships with more than 100 of AMG/Parade's newspaper partners in 14 Western states. He will also be responsible for all circulation, creative marketing, promotion and customer care to help partner newspapers who carry Parade and all AMG/Parade titles increase readership and revenue. He will be based in Bend, Ore.

"Scot's track record of facilitating long-term business relationships with clients and industry contacts is a perfect complement to our current NRG team," said Barber. "His leadership and impressive background will be immensely valuable to both AMG/Parade and our newspaper partners as we continue to grow our business. I'm so thrilled Scot has joined us."

Most recently, Dalquist served as the manager of printing and publishing sales for NORPAC, a producer of newsprint and commercial papers, in Longview, Wash. Prior to that, he spent more than three decades in various sales manager positions with Resolute Forest Products and its predecessor companies. He also has held HR and sales roles at Burlington Northern Railroad. Dalquist graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Journalism.
