Advance Local to utilize Arc platform for its many sites

Advance Local has signed an agreement with Arc Publishing, The Washington Post's fast-growing platform-as-a-service business, under which Arc will power technology for Advance's many sites, including NJ.comNOLA.comAL.com and Cleveland.com, among others.

Built by The Washington Post, Arc technology handles complex publishing and audience needs across video, web, apps, subscriptions and ad monetization, providing a competitive advantage enhanced by a set of sophisticated machine learning and AI-powered tools. Arc has powered the digital transformation of clients both large and small across the globe. At its core, Arc is about speed and innovation: for readers, newsrooms, brands, advertisers and developers.

Advance Local's product team will lead the company's adoption of Arc, rolling it out to their newsrooms and driving the replatforming of the company's websites. Advance will utilize Arc's page rendering tool, PageBuilder, to create and manage the user experience on those sites and will utilize WebSked and Ellipsis for their digital newsrooms.
