"This is a campaign that anyone who cares about quality journalism can get behind," said News Media Alliance President and CEO David Chavern. "We hope that through our efforts, the public will know what to look for when evaluating sources and will always use a trusted, respected source for their news."

The campaign calls on the public to support real news by using trusted news sources produced by trained journalists who adhere to a code of ethics. Links to third-party resources are provided to help consumers tell if news sources are credible.

"I'm extremely pleased that SNPA is part of this important campaign," SNPA President Les Simpson said. "The only way that we will be successful is when organizations supporting newspapers and a free press work together. This campaign is a perfect example of how we can show the importance of what we do."

This industry campaign is supported by SNPA and 10 other partner organizations.
