The Long Road to the 2016 Elections

During the Wednesday morning Awards Breakfast, Sally Buzbee, Washington bureau chief of The Associated Press, will be taking a look at the long road to the elections.

"It's been a summer of political surprises: Trump's popularity, Clinton's stumbles," she said. As we head into the fall and a busy winter of presidential primaries, she'll talk with SNPA members about what to watch for to see who will ultimately prevail.

During the breakfast, the Frank W. Mayborn Leadership Award will be presented.  This annual award recognizes an outstanding newspaper executive for his or her vision, community leadership and significant contributions to the newspaper industry.

Finalists have been announced, and the winners will be honored in Savannah and recognized on the SNPA website on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
