Nick Stanfill has been promoted to director, internal audit of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.

Stanfill joined CNHI in 2007 as a staff accountant. He has also served as staff auditor, senior internal auditor and most recently as audit manager. He will report directly to Lynn Pearson, CNHI chief financial officer.

"Nick is an invaluable member of our internal audit team," said Pearson. "With his experience and proven abilities, I'm confident that he will do an outstanding job in his new role."

"A promotion to management doesn't make you a leader, but it gives you a period of time to earn the right to lead," said Stanfill. "I am honored to have been given this opportunity, and I look forward to working with everyone in my expanded leadership role with CNHI."

A native of North Carolina, Stanfill earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Auburn University and an accounting degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), he is the former president of the Association of New Media Internal Auditors (NMIA) and currently sits on its board of directors.
