Newscycle Solutions announces the release of NewsEditPro v2015.1, including a new digital-first workflow with editing and cloning tools, and a HTML-enabled web editor for enhanced content creation and audience engagement. Search features in NewsEditPro v2015.1 are expanded with improved functionality for faster and more efficient asset queries.

"The digital-first focus of NewsEditPro 2015.1 offers greater flexibilities for media companies to quickly author news stories, as well as to increase audience engagement and retention," said Kelli Chmielorz, director of product strategy, media product solutions. "This upgrade also includes tools for the end-user to improve the story-writing process and make it more efficient."

Newscycle's NewsEditPro v2015.1 new features include:

Digital First Workflow – users gain flexibility to post a story to the web prior to print and update the web story as it continues to develop. With the clone tool, users can quickly copy a web story to print, or vice-versa, and edit the story to fit the appropriate channel.

New Web Body Editor – a HTML-enabled editor is available for users to embed links in stories to related website pages and media assets. The web editor is designed to increase audience engagement and time-on-site.

Search Enhancements – two features are added to the search functionality in the user interface, making it faster and easier to locate assets.

  • The grid and gallery feature allow users to view any search of assets as a gallery (similar to Google images).

Multiple search tabs are available to improve the search experience. With this feature, a separate tab is created for each new search conducted, making it easier to revisit previous searches.
