Michelle Mulliner has been promoted to senior vice president, chief technology officer of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.

Mulliner has been a member of the company's corporate management team for the past four years, most recently as vice president, systems, software and information technology. She will report directly to Donna Barrett, CNHI president and chief executive officer.

"Michelle is an invaluable member of our company," said Barrett. "I'm confident that her experience, creativity and drive will not only make our ongoing operations more efficient, but afford us new, unforeseen opportunities as well."

A native of Traverse City, Mich., Mulliner began her career with the Traverse City Record-Eagle under Ottaway Newspapers in 1992.  In 2005, under CNHI ownership, she became production director. In 2010, she was named vice president, systems, software and information technology for CNHI.

"I am honored to have been given this opportunity, and I look forward to working with everyone in my expanded leadership role with CNHI," Mulliner said.
