Look what West Virginia made today!

West Virginia kicked off a four-day sesquicentennial celebration today to mark the day that the state entered the Union on June 20, 1863.  The state's newspapers contributed to the celebration with special editions and expanded content.

Five front pages from West Virginia dailies appear today on SNPA's new website. If you are reading this story on June 20, 2013, you can see these pages in more detail here.

These front pages are among the hundreds of pages that are featured daily on SNPA.org.  The website aggregates images of website home pages from all SNPA newspapers, and front pages from newspapers that are submitted to either SNPA or the Newseum.

The collection of front pages is an exciting way to view variations in design, see how local newspaper handle big local stories, and compare coverage of national events.

If your newspaper does not appear on the site, please assign someone to routinely upload it to SNPA.  Look for the "UPLOAD YOUR FRONT PAGE"  link on the left rail of the website.
