Jesse Lindsey will be the publisher of The Lebanon (Tenn.) Democrat, Hartsville Vidette and Mount Juliet News beginning Sept. 23.

Lindsey is currently the publisher of The Rogersville Review in Hawkins County.  He started his newspaper career as an advertising salesperson in Sweetwater, Tenn., and has spent the last 11 years as a publisher, first at the Selma (Ala.) Times-Journal and then Suffolk (Va.) News-Herald before moving to Rogersville.

Lindsey's career has focused on building strong relationships with communities and developing full marketing products for businesses.  "I'm eager to work with our readers and the business people in Lebanon and Wilson County," Lindsey said. "My family and I are excited about discovering everything the area has to offer and I personally look forward to helping build a stronger community."

He and his wife, Melanie, along with their five children, ages two to 14, will be relocating to Wilson County in the next few months.

Lindsey succeeds Joe Adams, who is moving to the Kingsport (Tenn.) Times-News, a sister organization, as director of consumer sales.

The Sandusky Newspaper Group operates 12 newspapers, 28 websites, a variety of e-mail newsletters, a full-service digital ad agency and a couple job print shops. Its operations are located in Utah, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
