Veteran editor to join Times-News

Rich Jackson, a veteran journalist and editor with 25 years of experience, has been named executive editor of the Times-News in Burlington, N.C.

Jackson replaces Madison Taylor, who left the post in November after nearly 10 years in the top newsroom position.

Jackson starts his new job March 16.

He began his newspaper career as the crime reporter for the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen in Wisconsin. He worked his way up in the industry, serving as an editor at six different newspapers. Most recently, Jackson was editor of The Derrick and The News-Herald in Oil City, Penn.
