Star-Telegram names new VP/advertising and digital media

Craig Diebel has been named vice president/advertising and digital media of the Star-Telegram in Fort Worth, Texas, responsible for advertising sales across platforms.

"Craig's extensive multimedia experience, his depth of market knowledge, and the charisma and energy he brings with his leadership style are exactly what our organization needs to accelerate our sales transformation," said Gary Wortel, president and publisher of the Star-Telegram, in making the announcement.

Diebel has been with the Star-Telegram for more than 35 years and has held a variety of executive-level positions and leadership roles. Most recently, he served as vice president/digital.

Diebel succeeds Don Burk, who was promoted to corporate director of sales at McClatchy Co., owner of the Star-Telegram.
