Three newspaper executives have been named to the SNPA Board of Directors to fill vacancies on the board.

  • Matthew Gray, senior vice president and general counsel for Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., will represent West Virginia papers.  He succeeds Steve McPhaul, executive vice president and chief operating officer of CNHI.
  • Terry Jamerson, publisher of The Roanoke Times, was named to represent Virginia newspapers.  She succeeds David Mele, the former president and publisher of The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk.  Mele stepped down from the board when he left the newspaper to become president of Norfolk-based Homes Media Solutions, which provides digital products and services to the real estate industry.
  • Pat Richardson, publisher of The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, was named to an at-large seat on the board.

Tim Burke

In addition, Tim Burke, publisher and editor of The Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, Fla., has moved to a new role on the board.  Burke, who previously held the at-large seat that Richardson was named to, will now serve as the director from Florida.  He succeeds David Dunn-Rankin, president and publisher of The Sun in Port Charlotte, who is SNPA's treasurer.
