The Winston-Salem Journal, a Media General Newspaper has an opening for an Outside Advertising Account Executive.
 
We are looking for an assertive, outgoing individual who likes challenge, the freedom to set appointments and take charge of current accounts, while initiating contact with prospective new customers. The successful candidate must have the ability to achieve or exceed revenue goals. Experience in outside sales is helpful.
 
The successful candidate must be outgoing with strong interpersonal skills, have a positive attitude, and be solutions oriented.
 
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Level Degree or 3 plus years experience in a similar field.  The successful candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
 
This position requires an ability to maintain a current account list while prospecting for new ones. Ability to achieve monthly sales goals required. Experience in outside sales preferred but not required.

Digital Sales Manager

The Advertiser Media Group is seeking a Digital Sales Manager in Montgomery, Ala.

This position will work with the team to help conceive and execute digital solutions for high profile clients that market across channels, integrate with offline media, and push interactive innovation. The Manager will be a thought-leader in all aspects of interactive marketing and emerging media and possess communication skills that can present high-tech opportunities to clients and drive results.

Responsibilities include conceptualizing, communicating and executing complex interactive projects and effectively establishing and managing client expectations; developing programs and solutions to ensure best practices and client solutions are achieved by utilizing both technical and marketing knowledge/skills including how to utilize the newest digital media applications (including social media); effectively utilizing internal resources to develop and deliver presentations with the goal of persuading external decision makers and influencers; developing high-performing sales staff; acting as a change agent and spearhead effective communications; and maintaining exceptionally high standards with a desire to do great work while functioning in a multi-task, fast-pace, deadline-driven environment.

We're looking for a team builder who can manage and develop our Major and National Account Teams to grow revenue and market share.  A successful candidate will possess the ability to negotiate successfully, will be able to identify and develop opportunities, and will have a thorough understanding of the digital solutions that we deliver.
 
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet skills are essential.
The successful candidate will possess excellent sales and training skills, with an ability to coach and motivate others. Must be creative with strong organization and communication skills.  Software expertise in MS Word, Excel and MS Power Point. Budgeting, forecasting and sales planning skills required.
 
Strong knowledge of digital media preferred.  Bachelor's Level Degree
3-5 years experience working with major and national accounts and their agencies.
